5100 install price

what's the current rate to have bilstein 5100 installed in the front to level truck, labor only? anyone have it done recently? already have parts in hand.

Man I have no idea what a shop would charge.. $500ish wouldn't surprise me, including alignment afterward.

I spent my whole life being broke so I just learned to do all that stuff myself out of necessity

I literally came back from shops right now asking the same thing. One shop quoted me 2 hours at $115 per hour and allowed me to bring in my own shocks.

Les Schwab quoted me $79 per shock install, but I have to buy them there. The rep told me that the system was showing that he had to call and check for delivery date because they weren’t showing up available. He said the 5100s run about $400 a pair.

Tire Factory told me it would be about 1.3 hours at $120 per hour; i’d have to buy the shocks there too. He told me the 5100s were on national backorder.

Where did you get yours and how much did they cost?

You’re looking $300-$400 with an alignment because an alignment is mandatory.
most cheap shops will add new top hats at $75 each etc. once your truck is apart they have you just where they want you. So I would bank on $350 and find a suspension shop because (most) regular mechanics just don’t go the extra mile with measurements and correct settings
