I read that the 2022 2500 and 3500 long beds have an option for a 52 gallon gasoline tank. Anyone have an idea if this new tank would fit a long bed 2016 2500? Part numbers between the years don’t seem to match up— for the 32 gallon tanks. I’m wondering how similar the chassis are between the two and if they had to move stuff around in the 2022’s for the higher capacity tank. Anyone done any digging on this subject?

I would call Titan and ask them. Put one in my 2018 CC 6'5 bed last week, I am assuming it should work.... I had the 32 gallon, went to the Titan 52 gallon. Not sure if it will bother you but without reprograming the Distance To Empty, the tank will read 580 range for like 300 miles, then the needle starts moving and when it said 1/3 tank It showed 330 mile range which I imaging would be pretty close to accurate (and I had driven 650 miles on that tank). I was quoted like $500-600 to install it so I did it myself, I would spend $500 next time so I didnt have to do it (especially if they will do the reprogramming). I probably spent 6-8 hours installing mine in the driveway and my back is still telling me to F&*% myself. I got a good deal on the tank, shipped to Florida, no tax, no CC surcharge, or freight $1140 (from battle born offroad who is a member on the facebook cummins 6.7 forum

I am pretty sure Titan only makes a diesel 52 gallon tank for you Cummins guys. Us gas guys are stuck with what we have. I was just reading, possibly in the fifth generation side of the forum, that ram now offers a 52 gallon gasoline tank from the factory on the 2022+ trucks. I looked at it on Mopar parts site and I think it’s only $400-500 dollars. Just wondering how much changed between 4th and 5th generation. I was just putting a feeler out there to see if any of the hemi 6.4 long haulers or 5th wheeler guys have looked into swapping it under a 4th gen truck.

It looks like I have plenty of space in front of the 32 gallon tank, although I’d like to check out a 5th generation and see if they run the fuel and brake lines differently. I’m guessing the 52 gallon has one more support strap also.
