Would cost more but could get an AI with the A/F hookup to cover just about everything.

A place around here charges $350 for a Diablosport custom tune and $450 for a dyno custom tune.... Is this reasonable? Do yall think I should just save up the money to cam it and then just take it to get a custom tune right afterwards?

So they want $350 for the tuner and $450 for the dyno tune?

That seems a little high. That's just me though. I know customs tunes are normally expensive. Could've sworn I saw one around here for like $350 for the dyno.

If that 450 covers the dyno and tuner and make sure its right then its not a bad price, if 450 is just 3 dyno pulls and the guys time for less then an hour its steep.

I know it's not including a tuner. Because I saw one that you had to buy the tuner for too and it was $7** with a brand new tuner.

With an 04, send Sean (hemifever) an email, get a sct and a custom tune for 3 something I think and stack the sc and the sct to keep your trans shifts

Sct will need tunes loaded to it for your truck. Normaly you will get one from the tuner as a baseline then go from there. The handheld will hold 3 tunes at a time.

Just get a Sidewinder and use a PSC-1 signal adjuster, its a proven performer with Superchips. Even Sam hated how gutless the 6.1 cam in his lighter than light 05 RCSB with stall converter and 4.56s was.

PSC-1 is a good piece of Kit, Got one of those and a Crazy Spartan laying around Too! I may be willing to sell the PSC-1 003 but the CS is going into my LX RT.

Danny you have the 115 Lsa 6.1 cam correct? That would be a better choice for her then the 117 lsa that some of them were.

psc-1 is a tuning tool used by some guys not supported by sct or dsp
when he said the cs (crazy spartan) was going in his LX (car platform in his case Magnum) rt (trim package) lol
basically he is putting the crazy spartan in the magnum rt

OOps Sorry...LOL..Kenneth thanks for the explanation...perfect.
I used to speak real good Mustangeese at one time too!

Not 100% sure as what LSA I got but its the AC version which is supposed to be good.
Like you Guys said its nothing to get a Timing Chain Kit (Crower or new Comp Cams) and do an advance to bring it in earlier. I was reading on the LX (here we go again Kristen) forum a guy who successfully advanced it 6 degrees with no ill effect for valve/piston clearance so based on that 4 degrees would be a safe bet for sure.

Have you thought about the 268 Cam like Ryan. I met a fellow recently who has one in a SC 4x4 Rumble Bee and that thing hauls ass!

The 268 is one sweet cam, I thuroughly enjoy mine. Needs a few add ons though. It really needs a new TC (at least a 2800-3000, maybe a little more), 4.56's, Headers, definitly needs a custom tune too. The lowend on that cam is close to stock but above 3k she runs like a bat out of hell. I still need to get it re-tuned though with a new trans setting and updated tune file havent had a chance since the laptop has been down. Also need to get a set of heads as well to really open her up. Ah the wish list just keeps getting longer...

Oh and it has a killer idle... nice and lopey
