F150 and a Tundra are hardly in the same league as a 2500HD.......
But the DOT has some input with regards to how much fuel a private or commercial vehicle can carry.

The point I was making is that they are taking notice of the gasoline trucks needing larger tanks. I know there are regulations, but as mentioned, the manufacturers are now offering 48 and 50 gallon tanks from factory in HD trucks. So I'm sure there are ways the aftermarket companies can also comply.

My 2017 3500 SRW cab & chassis 6.4 came with 52 gal tank stock. Check the boneyards?

Yes between the rails. You lose the underbody spare tire storage. My window sticker states 52 gal. tank, so yeah, I'm pretty sure.

I got this reply from titan tanks.

Good morning Heath. Unfortunately with a gas powered truck it is very limited. The EPA/government has regulations which make it virtually impossible to do replacement or auxiliary tanks for gasoline. The gasoline tank is considered to be part of the EVAP system which is illegal to alter or tamper with, in any way. What they do allow are transfer tanks between 10 and 15 gallons like our SideKick tank. Here is a link to it

Cab & Chassis builds usually have the spare tire deleted because they don't know what kind of body you are going to mount. My spare is in my 9 foot knapheide utility bed right behind rear window.

Transfer Flow has made Transfer tanks for years, that fit in the Ram truck beds.
I had a 30 gallon Combo tank in my old 2009 Dodge Ram with 6' 4" bed
I don't think you could have a 5th wheel trailer, if you have that unit

It is the tank against the cab, i have it sitting on 1 1/2" steel blocks
