Possible yes. The real question here is how much are you willing to spend on making it work and do you mean a factory 6.4 specifically or stroker 5.7?

6.4 hemi engine factory, pretty much any amount I'm a main shop tech at a dodge dealership and i was talking to my foreman about doing it since he has 392 swapped jeep wrangler he did and we also have a bunch of 6.4 hemi cores lying around from warranty, he told me it would bolt right up to my motor mounts and trans but i would have to figure the wiring and pcm situation and sooner or later the trans since i know the 545rfe does not like power like that. Edit also the accessory drive system or is the one on 6.4 fine.

I should clarify further, 6.4 truck engine or 6.4 SRT/Scat engine and what do you intend to do with it? Stock rebuild or performance rebuild?

we got both 6.4 outs of a car and truck, I would probably go with the car version since it’s not detuned like the truck and a good performance build to have fun in

The setup from a 2009 2500 5.7 will be your best friend (cheaper than integrating a standalone); 3rd gen truck with 4th gen engine. PCM will integrate right into your existing architecture and if you find an engine harness it will hook right up. If not, send your existing engine harness to Hotwireauto and they can modify it as necessary; in fact, if you're going to go through with the trans swap, they started integrating the Sound German retro harness into the swap harnesses they build. Use the accessory drive from the 09 2500 5.7 as this is proven to fit and clear just fine.

Since you haven't mentioned, if you have a 2wd then I'd find a Scat trans to use. If 4wd then find a truck trans. You'll have to figure out how/where to mount the electronic shifter (of your choice) as there is no provision for the cable from your column shifter.

Oh I completely forget the 09 2500 had the same body style as the 06-08 well that helps a lot cause guess I’ll go that route with this swap

Time to pull out those "main shop tech" skills lol and start comparing wiring diagrams.

I have another question i decided that i am doing the 8 speed in tandem with the 6.4 swap, i was wondering with the 8hp70 on mounting it is there any mounts that are sold specifically for a swap like this or do i have to custom fabricate like my factory rear mount into working with the brackets on the trans and would i be able to keep my 4wd with it.

Making the trans mount is very simple. Keep the stock transmission crossmember and fabricate a mount to match the 8HP. If you want to keep the 4WD anything is possible. I haven't attempted to put the NV243 transfer case up against the 8HP. I guess you could use the BW 44-45 that comes in the 8HP equipped 4WD trucks but I don't have any experience with the setup and electronics.

I did some testing and the NV243 transfer case does fit a truck 8HP70 from a 4WD model so you will be able to use your transfer case. You will need to lengthen the front driveshaft between ¾"-1" or make a spacer. You will still need to measure for a driveshaft for the rear and have one made up or have yours modified to fit by a local driveshaft shop.
