A lifter that will not pump up or bleed off like its suppose definitely could.

Awesome, thanks, always reassuring that I'm thinking along the right through process here and not chasing a problem that was only in my head haha. But ya that lifter does feel pretty terrible, I can't see how it would have been able to operate correctly like it is.
It would also make sense as that lifter is from cylinder 7, which is the one that I got the misfire code and hearing the noise from.

Not particularly for the 6.4L - but i wouldn't mind being able to open my car in the mornings (when below zero, with proper precautions) without getting a mini heart-attack that i might fk up my window mechanism.
