Well that depends on the transmission, but thats alot of weight on those front cv axles and that rear axle.

I would imagine the tranny would hold up fine as long as he installed 4:56 gears. guarenteed the guy doesnt take that truck off road. As long as he crawls the mall he should be ok. Lots of wrangler JK guys run 37's on the front dana 30's. 90% dont take them off road, but the ones that do end up snapping u joints on the axle shafts, and stripping teeth on the 5:13 ring gears from the small contact area of the dana 30. Never seen anyone burn up a tranny.

I agree with all the above statements, no way he wheels that thing, the front would get destroyed from the wheel bearings to the axles, way to much weight in stock form for a factory 1/2 ton IFS...imo.

I have a RCX 6" with 35" Kanati Trail Hogs right now and 4.56 gears. I love it. I want to try to go 37's next though. 37x12.50R18 Kanati Trail Hogs, I also added 1.5" spacers to give me a little more room because the rims are Fuel Hostage 18x9 -12 and I didn't want to rub.

I would do 40's but I commute in this bad boy so even 37's might be pushing it. 40's would need a 3" body lift too probably.

It’s a 1500. Watch that tranny go badaboom.

I was going to say, dig deep to be changing that tranny every so often, or at least fixing something to do with it (depending on driving habits). Also, switching/fixing out your gears, bearings, ball joints, and cv axels. I have 37’s with the same 3”BL and 6” SL in the post and not staying with the 37’s. To much damn money on repairs when you start to play around. Going to 35’s, don’t care if people say “they to small for the lift”, my pockets are getting smaller every 6 to 9 months! lol

Ive been running 37x12.5x17 KO2’s for about 10k miles zero issues and I offroad the truck. I beat the crap out my shocks, truck and every component she’s got under her belly across the southern Cali desert with washes/hoops or into our local mountains where the terrain changes from fast off-road to slow crawl because of rocks, deep ruts hills back to fast dirt roads.
I have 87.5k miles, still factory front LCA’s and tie rods. No big lift either just a small 2.5-2.75” lift front and 1.5” in the back. I want to go back to 35’s but mostly because MPGs. KO2s in 37x12.5x17 size are one of the lightest 37’s you will find out there at 69lbs. My wheels are just 31lbs so the combo weights 100lbs per corner. There are setups heavier with 35’s.

I want 40s on mine .. already regeared to 4.88s which should help if I ever decide to ...

Only thing is getting the 3" body lift or an extra 3 to 5 inches somehow to be able to have the clearance ... Just not sure about a body lift ...

Why not? Body lifts are my shops go to if the customer just wants bigger tires.

Well first of all because no one around my area is willing to install one ... and people who I know with them their trucks all squeak like hell ....

I have ran probably 10 body lifts and installed atleast 20. The only time you will get a squeak is if the mounts are over tightened. Need to put the air tools down for a minute and actually torque things sometimes.

Its not that hard to do it yourself, honestly. I put one on my brand new truck by myself when I was 18 years old with no issues. And I am not a super mechanically inclined person. Kept that truck for 11 years too, and it never squeaked once.
