At 60k and before on my 2016 5.7, I'd get light slips when cold from 2 to 3, with light acceleration. Ram refused to help until I finally got an error code, about clutches. Then a new tranny.

About 10k into the new tranny I suddenly started getting really HARD clunks on downshift with the pedal down. Clunks were so hard I'd check in the mirror to see if the rear fell onto the road.

Flashed the computer, now downshifts like butter.
I can’t tell that I have any slipping at att it only has done this a handful of times. I really hate the way the tranny shifts from third to fourth with the torque converter lock some where in that timeframe as well. I really hate the way it shifts under light acceleration from 3rd to 4th.

That EVIC display is very different than mine. Did they have different displays for different models?

Have you tried a transmission relearn? Any stored or active codes?

Dusty

Not yet it is not a persistent issue but I think I will have them do a relearn when I get the oil changed again. There are no codes of any kind or at least that my zurich meter will show.

That's interesting I have not looked at that display. I'll check it out this afternoon.
Well I tried it yesterday and did not see the gear display. I swear the first time I ever hit the manual select that I could see the selected gear and the current gear but then after I had put the display on vehicle info all I could see was the selected gear. I thought I had likely just done something to make it go away but I don't use the manual much so thought it was no big deal.

Yep same here. I went through every possible screen and option I could find and never did get it to show me what gear I was in.
