You must of been running 1/8th mile tracks and trapping maybe 95 mph,as that would put you at 6800rpm through the lights with a 29" tall slick. 125 mph with a 29" tall tire in the 1/4 is going to put you right at 9,000 rpm, ain't no way you were spining a 440 to 9,000Ah that’s right! The Cuda was the performance package and the Baracuda the standard package?
I remember the Cuda’s at the track, six packs, a Hemi every now and then. I had the big brother (size wise) 71 Challenge 440, 727, Dana 60 w/ 6.17’s and eventually 4.10’s for the street. The Cuda’s were fast and had a good looking front end. That’s the only thing I ever saw and it was it the mirror.
