8.4a 8.4an

Not sure if there is a thread with this ( I'm sure there is), but i have the 8.4a radio.. What is the actual difference between the 8.4a and 8.4an.. Is the hd radio the only thing that separates the two if u get the nav upgrade? Trying to decide if i want to get the 8.4an and resell my 8.4a... Please help.. Link me to the answer if it's already answered.. Thanks in advance
