8 speed shifter knob scrape?

I noticed today that my shifter know is scraping when I turn it. It feels and sounds like a bearing that has dirt in it.

This something I can clean up myself or should I just take it to the dealer?

Try and clean it out with compressed air. If that doesn't work, I would just take it in.

Before I even got my truck I heard of issues with the rotary shifters, hope it doesn't break!
