just wanted to hear some opinions, i have a diablo intune, just got the hemifever 89 tune installed and i dont feel that much of a difference, feels a bit faster but nothing substantial and still cant spin a tire. I know i dont have alot of mods and i know im not gonna gain power like a diesel but guess i was expecting more. dont get me wrong im not putting hemifever down, i bought from moes and both are awesome to deal with, very fast and very helpful. One thing i do notice even after just one day is the fuel mileage according to the gauge is down, even though im driving it hard.

What kind of mods do you have right now? I noticed a huge difference with the Hemifever 89 tune. I took my truck to the dealership last week and uninstalled the HF 89 tune and I was actually disappointed with how the truck drove without the HF tune. Put the tune back in today and I was smiling like the first day I got it, so again I feel a huge difference!!!

A couple things. When I first got my tuners, 1st BD and then DS w/HF. It seemed like my truck needed a day or two before I really felt the truck get fast.

Next, the HF tune is really great at the 91 or 93 level. Note, that this is the tune that Sean wants the data logs done in. The 89 tune is not that amazing.

I agree with the guys above. I told Sean I was primarily going to be using the 91 tune. He also sent me an 89 tune. Last time after I got back from my oil change, I put the 89 in just to see what it was like. Definitely an improvement over stock, but not near as swift as the 91 tune. And like David said, give it a day or two for the computer to learn. I don't know how true it actually is, but they say the truck adjusts itself to how you drive it. As soon as I put the 91 tune back in, I hammer down on it ever so often and it doesn't seem as quick. Then a day or two later it grips and rips. I can spin the 35's i'm running no problem.

The 89 tune is meant to be an improvement to stock. The 91/93 tune is where you'll see the gains you're expecting.

on the move..

That puts the nail in the coffin of a tuner for me.
No way I'm feeding this thing 91 at the rate it drinks.

I'll have to try my 93 again, I don't remember being able to spin my tires and I want to be able to! Guess that's why I stayed running the 89, that and gas prices lol

^^^ Exactly.

Give it a day or two, and you will feel the difference. With my mods and then adding the HF tune, I was able to smoke my tire(s) well into second gear, or half a city block (that was with 3.55 and open diff). I have since spent a bunch of money trying to STOP the tires from smoking! Lol!

Depending on how many miles you drive, you might wanna do the math and see what the cost difference is between running 89 and 93 octane.

It might be worth if for the "fun factor" ;)

Yeah I think you may be right. I don't use my truck to get to work so it's not like I drive a ton of miles. The tanks at about 45 miles left so I'll run it out and throw the 93 tune in again.

Right now i only have moes 87mm throttle body and magna flow cat back exhaust, so that would be the 22" muffler. I will try the 91 tune one of these days but gas is so dam expensive. Ill give it a few days, but overall im still happy with it

Here in Ontario,Canada are gas runs in the 87, 89 and 91 octane range. Our gas prices are murder up here, right now it's $1.359 for a litre of regular gas(3.7854 litres=1 american gallon). I ran the 87 canned tune and didn't feel much difference. Currently running the 89 tune Sean sent and can feel the difference and my gas mileage went up from approx. 15.3 km to 16.6 km. These #'s vary depending on the dreaded hemi foot syndrome. Going to try the 91 octane shortly as soon as this 89 runs down.

Ouch! Here in Cali price are currently at $4.95 per gallon for 91 octane, Chevron gas. That is still a little less than up there...

I deal mainly with Esso up here, when the gas is $1.359 per litre, usually the 89 is $1.46 per litre and the 91 is $1.52 per litre, ballpark figure.

I try not to look at the pump when the gas is going in because of the shock factor. LOL

You're right about the gas prices that's why I run the 89, although I'm going to give my 93 a try again. The only performance I have right now is the Vararam, a Moes 87mm PTB, and my Hemifever tune, but the difference I noticed when I took everything off and put everything back on was insane enough to make me fell fast with a pro comp 6 inch lift and 295 Trail Grapplers.

^^^ Do I see a VaraRam in your future?! ;)

I agree, I think a Vararam will do your truck some good.

Wow, that is cheap!

I think Cali tops the country in gas prices. I think we get rapped because we can see the ocean while we pump our gas, or some other un-justifiable reason. :(

Lol yeah that is probably true. I just came back from a two week vacation in Ireland and tell you what the 1.35L in USD is cheap compared to paying that in pounds or euro. Spent way more than I thought I was going to just on fuel for my rental.

Why Esso? They're the absolute worst! I usually use ultramar or if I'm in the area I'll go to the reserve and fill up cheap! Lol. Just checked my Gas Buddy app and ultramar in the area is 1.30 /liter for regular. The reserve is 1.20/liter for regular and 1.30/liter for premium! I'm in Ontario
