I suppose feel free to identify how long your trans lasted on the original fluid too before experiencing problems if you did have a trans failure or issues.

Made it to just over 50,000 kms, before mine went south, but it might have something to do with putting down 572 lb-ft @3200 rpm at the rear tires, and 500 dragstrip passes on drag radials, lol

Rick, I would've loved to see the look on the face of the R&R guy when they opened up that one for the rebuild......lol.

I have 185k miles, just rebuilt top end of engine and my 8speed still shifts like new. No flush yet.
First of all, hilarious name. Are you the original owner and have you never even changed the fluid (not a flush although those usually don't bode well to remove all at once)? That's impressive but this ZF 8 speed fluid is very good

I bought it at 46k miles. No flushes/fluid change at all. I'm scared to do anything since it still works like new...lol Carfax had all dealer oil changes from previous owner but no other work.

i highly doubt anyone touched the trans and yeah at this point let it be. Only an enthusiast would think to replace it because that's not even something on the average person's mind. I don't plan to keep mine passed 100k probably because I only put 6k a year on mine and its at 62k almost so no big.
