So I have one of Caulk’s bypasses in my possession now…what temps can I expect?

I see anywhere from 125 in colder days to a high of 165 on warm days, also depending on traffic conditions, on freeway it runs a bit lower, in stop and go traffic it creeps up.
On cold days it takes longer to hit 100 deg.

So the thermostats operation temps are
140° break open temp
163° full open temp

So today driving I thrashed the truck a little. I could get the truck to 163° oil temp but it would peak there. Granted it was busy so I couldn’t really beat on it. But it would cool back down to 158° fairly quickly once I went back to cruising speed. Would then slowly drop to 154-156° and sustain that temp. And on a side note my truck would downshift better. I’ve had issues with the trans downshifting but only 1 or 2 gears and would limit gear shift to between 5400-5600rpm. I’ve been thinking that was due to the cold and based on the tuning done. Today basically on command it would drop gear and rev into the upper 4000rpm range and carry to 6000-6200rpm shift. Long term will tell if it was worth it. Shifting still feels tight which is great.

Nothing like chasing a refrigerant leak only to find dye in the trans XD
There's no way anything from the refrigerant part of the fin coil to crossover to the transmission part. You can't even cross connect the tubing/piping between the two, as the connections are different.

Anyone running the bypass have issues during the December Arctic freeze? If it’s -5 degrees does that mean your trans temps are 60 degrees? In Southeast Missouri my not towing temps are above 180 regularly and over 200 towing. 2019 Ram

Jesse's/Caulks bypass isn't a permanent mod,you can always swap the stock thermostat back in for the winter,if you're transmission is running to cold. It's like swapping engine thermostats, way to many guys seem to think these are permanent mods, when you can swap the stock stuff back in for the colder temps.

I’m in Florida and I didn’t care much for how the transmission shifted when it was under 120° which isn’t often here but also wanted faster warmups after deleting so installed an in line thermostat instead. Runs just under 160° currently. Will see how it plays out during the summer.

What type of inline T Stat did you use? Western Wa does not get severe winters but would like a faster warm up time but the stock stat did not open until about 180deg.
