So I'm thinking of buying a throttle response plug and play type thing but I don't seem to think its safe I'm not very familiar with my truck I couldn't take the thing apart and put it back together if I tried but I just wanna know how the thing works I haven't seen anything talking about what the settings to do and how you should use it, what to do and what not to do if someone could like tell me their recommended settings or how it works I also don't want to break anything either.

I have a Pedal Commander bluetooth version. Took me about 30 seconds to install. It works and it works good!

if you get one, just remember never to change the settings while you have your foot on the gas pedal.

There are a bunch of settings, I think I'm running Sport +3. I may tone that down when winter hits.
In the Sport+ +4 (max) setting it's insane, too much for me.

^^^ +1 Pedal Commander I'm on Sport -4 right now. I, too, tried Sport+ on +4. About rearended the VW in front of me. (!!). On Sport and +4 it seems to downshift too much for me in traffic. Still tinkering.. still leaving E1 in the dust..

Had the Pedal commander on my last Ram, now have the 9-Drive on my new one. The 9-Drive works better for me as the PC would throw codes every so often. Zero issues with the 9D. Simple plug and play, same as PC. I have settled on P2.6. Excellent in town throttle response as well as on the highway. Love how it down shifts when passing or pulling a hill with just a blip of the throttle. 3.9 is fun but just to sensitive for my taste for every day driving.
Mount location and used velcro instead of the sticky back tape it comes with. I also used a paint pen to color the shiny side bezel.

Pedal Commander and Banks Pedal Monster are the 2 top throttle response controllers. The Banks Pedal Monster is probably the safest and most reliable one of the bunch. I highly recommend one as they make a big difference with your every day daily driving. you can reap the benefits everytime you drive the truck. Message me if you would like a quote on a PC or PM.
