99 2wd U joint replacement

Rear ujoint came out and dropped the driveshaft. I went to replace the ujoint and with the new joint and u shaped straps the join is to loose. Is there somthing im missing...thanks again

There are two or three diff cross joints get the right one that's all you need to do.
