Something weird is going on with my 2014 Ram 1500 5.7.
Sometimes the A/C will not blow cold. I'll get ready to take it to the shop and the A/C will blow cold.
Today it was working when I pulled it out of the garage it was working fine. Shut it off for maybe 10minutes...long enough to grab the dog and head to the gas station.
A/C not working. I felt the lines and the discharge side was burning hot. Compressor was spinning...
Anyone else experience this? And what was the repair? I'm thinking electrical?

Yup. Check your wires at the compressor. Mine did exactly what your describing.

When you say the compressor is spinning do you mean the clutch is engaging? If so may be an internal compressor issue. If not check voltage at the plug. If no voltage at the plug face try back probing it. Had a similar issue this weekend, replaced a melted clutch but it wouldn’t engage. Found voltage pin in connnecter bad ( blue/green wire) ended up just jumpering over the plug. Someone else on here had a similar issue too.
