Hahaa, just happened to finish dinner and logged on.

The OEM kicker subwoofer goes under neath the rear bench on the drivers side. Also finding that the OEM Alpine subwoofer goes on under the rear bench passenger side. Perhaps wired for both?

*Looking through some old post it does look like it’s for underneath lighting*

Very similar to what I recently saw in mine. Connector mounted to seat bracket on each side but nothing plugged into either.

Thank You very much.. Man thought I quit spending $$$ on goodies for my RAM :O Now here I go again lol

It is actually a very inexpensive mod, I purchased the connectors on ebay and the lights from superbrightleds.com. I think my total was less than $30

Look at post 1049 in my link, it shows both part numbers for the lights and connectors.

The factory connector has power when you open the door. The after market lights will not fit the seat cushion, the reason for me to mount them in the footwell. For me it was a no brainer to put them there as it was the easiest solution and I feel a better solution. The factory lights in the seat bottom cushion serve no purpose with the cushion folded up, the light would just shine on the front seat backrest. The way I installed them you will have constant light even with the seat bottom in the up position.

I was looking at the mounting and like you said the bottom of the seat is not the best ! I did notice a hole in the seat beacket that would be perfect place to boly the aftermarket light too. I assume the same place as you mounted your lights ! Again Thank You for your help and link to the parts! A BIG help.

Makes me wish my truck has power to the connectors.

Do you have the connectors, if so there should be power when you open any of the doors.

That sucks, you could locate the rear door dome light switch(if there is one) and run power from there to the connectors.
