So I have three 2nd gens that I was attempting to make into one awesome off road mobile, sadly I've taken a new job and I'm working 60+ a week. It's been on the back burner for almost a year now and nothing has happened. So I'm thinking of selling the entire project a 96 1500 sport with a 318, still runs but rough to say the least, but it has a dashboard, a 97 1500 base, new 46re, blown 360. And 98 2500, new 360, no transmission in it. Just figured this would be the place to price it at. I've had multiple people tell me that I shouldn't have a problem getting $12,000 out of the three since if you have the time and knowledge you can get at least 2 good trucks out of it. Thoughts?

Unless they’re got 4x4 or some good curb appeal, I don’t think anything above $3,500 is very realistic for something that isn’t immediately driveable.

Good luck getting any bites, at any price. Finding anyone with "your vision" is a needle in a haystack. Junking them will be easier and probably the best for you finacially.

If you have a buddy that is mechanically inclined, with a bunch of free time make him a deal. He works full time on finishing up two driveable trucks from the three, you split the full sale price with him 50/50. In their current condition, you could part them out, but finding anyone to buy all three to put two back on the road is REALLY unlikely. You can buy a 96 from a no rust area, in very good shape, fully running for $5- $7,000. Why would anyone pay $4,000 for one that needs a ton of work. If the bodies aren't in real nice shape, I would suggest you just part them out.

No nice way to put this.
That'd be a hard No.

As in a "You got to be kidding me?" type of No.
Any Buyer would have to be either Stupid,
or Stoned, and very few of those folks have $12K for trucks.

Wish you the very best getting that price.

Sell it to any of them for $10,500 and let them make 10%+ return on that 'not a problem' price...

None of them will do it. It's easy to spend other people's money.

$12,000 dollars? Yeah good luck with that!
Tell those multiple people who told you that to find you even 1 person dumb enough to pay that much. The "newest" truck is already 25 years old.
Part them out or junk them and get rid of the aggravation of seeing the piles of junk just sitting there.

Get one to be drivable, get it on the road and registered, and then sell it with two parts vehicles. Then, maybe then, you'll get a good price for them. Other than that, either hang on until you either change your mind or someone comes along and takes it on the spot for whatever price.
