ABS fault, error code U0401 for right-rear speed sensor.

I checked the wires leading to the RR sensor; conductivity intact, sensor functioning,
No 12vdc across the two wires leading to the sensor. Other speed sensors
have 12vdc across their respective twin wires.

Would this be an ABS module failure requiring reprogramming, or replacement?
Is this module located at the front port-side
of the engine compartment, beneath the brake tube manifold?
Has anyone else come across this condition?

Would splicing in a new +ve 12vdc wire to the sensor fix the situation?

Either the module or the wiring from the module to the sensor.

I traced it to a faulty wire that connects pin 43 of the module harness to the right rear sensor. The was broken somewhere between the module connector and the in-line chassis
connector, located on the driver's side beneath the firewall. I solder spliced in a new wire from module connector to in-line chassis connector.
ABS was resuscitated.
