Hello Everyone,
I'm hoping to get some advice on an issue with my 2016 Ram 1500 Hemi V8. A while back, the check engine light came on, and my scanner pointed to a problem with the ABS sensors. I went ahead and replaced all four ABS wheel sensors, then reset the system, feeling pretty confident I had solved the problem.
However, when I went for my inspection, everything passed—except for the OBD reading, which failed the inspection. The technician advised me to drive more miles and return within 15 days, so I did just that. After putting in some extra mileage, I plugged in my Innova 3020 scanner, only for it to display "0 DTC" (no error codes). You can see the attached photo for reference.
To troubleshoot further, I disconnected the battery and jumped both cables to completely drain the system, aiming for a hard reset of the PCM and ECM. Unfortunately, even after that, the scanner still shows "0 DTC," and the OBD won't read properly.
At this point, I’m out of ideas. Could I be overlooking something? Has anyone else experienced a similar issue with their Ram, or does anyone have suggestions on what else to try? I appreciate any help you can provide!
Thank you in advance!
