Also, if you’re looking for gas mileage, don’t get a Pedal Commander.
I’ve lost 2 mpg after installing mine.
Just feels too good to have that pedal response and engine sound.
I’m at 16-17 now, but am ok with that.
If I was worried about mileage, I wouldn’t have traded in my Accord at 29 mpg for the so called brick:p

PC turn you into Honey Badger re: mpg. and we all know...

Honey Badger don't care.

Im at almost 1400 miles now and Ive averaged 16.1 MPG with 87 being close to $4.00 a gal. So 22 is the estimated MPG on the sticker? I hope after my break in period Im looking at 20 atleast.

Why are we introducing btu's in an auto forum? This is not an hvac forum.

Corn easily adds 70-80 hp on my ZL1, with the added benefit of additional cooling. Corn is usually 20-25% less than gas, but you burn more so it's a wash. It's one of the best things for a supercharged engine, other than ice or ****. Plus, it smells great!

I'm corn fed too (not the RAM). We have E85 here at the pumps. Lots of people don't understand it so it get a bad rap.

Good price, but I'm pretty sure you guys pay for it elsewhere!

Regular grade has been in the $2.79-2.99 in the Buffalo NY area for a year or more. If you want zero ethanol 92oct, it will run you about $0.70/gal more.

E85 is around, but rare and more expensive than E10.

I just took a road trip 600 miles each way. Pulling a 12 foot trailer with a canoe and 4 seat rzr I got 11.2 mpg on the way down. On the way back with no trailer 80 mph on the freeway I got 17.2 mpg. 3.92 gears off road package so no lowering air dam 3000 miles on the truck so I think it will get better as the computer weans itself off the break in period. I also have 20 inch All terrains which will will cost a bit of mileage.

what you say about the computer caught my eye. do you know that the ecm is programmed to run the truck differently for a certain number of miles as a break-in strategy ?..that might make some sense and be some good motivation to add some kind of tuning device to negate or control that stuff.

Almost all modern engines from motorcycles to cars with a ecm are programmed to run a bit richer during break in periods for a certain number of miles.

well I dont know about cars/trucks so much but I have had several Harleys and have two now and I know that there is nothing in their ecm that makes them run any different for a certain number of break-in miles. actually harleys are programmed from the factory to run very lean and most folks like myself buy a tuner to reset those values for cooler running and better performance. but I can see that automakers might do that, so how many miles does one have to have on their ram truck before it is considered broken in by the ecm and I can expect better mileage and smoother shifting.

The recommended octane is 89 and 87 being acceptable. So your observation is no surprise. I just miss the days when all grades were separated by 10cents, and my leaded race fuel I thought was outrageous at $2.50 a gallon.

Just pretend 87 is race fuel...price is about the same now [emoji482]

2019 Stock Laramie here w/ 5.7Hemi, 3.92 gears, air ride, tonneau cover, with about 4000 miles. Does NOT have e-torque.

I use 87 octane.

Average mpg on dash is almost spot on with the sticker. 15/21/17.

I have not hand calculated any tanks yet.

Great news here, Our gas stations are now offering non ethenol in every grade at the same price as ethenol. I will be looking to gain some mileage just by running it.

just passed 2500 miles today ... got gas and the lie-o-meter said 18.1 ... hand calculated to 18.1 .. this was 90% local driving with lots of road construction stops and using E15 gas 88 octane .. think the etorque helps

Wow mine is terrible compared to what you guys have. Hemi with 3.92 gears, 900 miles on odometer, almost never load in bed and I average 11.9mpg. That's with 70% "city" driving, but I'm in a suburb north of atlanta. Not NYC or L.A etc.

Been really really gentle with my throttle as well..

I have Limited 5.7 eTorque 3.92 gears, start/stop system, stock Bridgestone tires, hard tonneau cover. Just passed 1200 miles. Average mpg is 17.4 with 60% city, 40 highway.

Highway mpg is around 21-22 at 60-65mph.
