Adding 5th wheel kit; is it possible?

I recently ordered my truck w/o the 5th wheel prep pkg bc honestly, its payload rating is too low.
But if for some reason I need to add that capability sometime down the road, can I add it either via mopar parts or a true aftermarket kit? Will my truck bed still have support structure etc underneath it even though I opted out of the kit?

Yes there a Mopar kit to add the puck system after the fact.
You could also go with a B&W Turnover gooseneck hitch and a Companion fifth wheel hitch if you need.

Of course your bed length & series rating also make a difference

Get an Andersen hitch, it’s very light and will help. Don’t get so hung up on payload, you can still get a rather large 5th wheel
