Ok so I'm adding audio video inputs to the connector but there is already wires in the pins I'm supposed to use. I don't have rear VES in my 17 ram. Do I just cut the wires and solder my leads onto them?

Check and triple check you have the correct pin locations. Check for enmbossed numbers at the end of the rows. No need to cut anything, remove the red plate from the front... Carefully

and use a pick or jewelers screwdriver to release the pin lock from the front and pull the wire gently out the back.

& it depends on your truck year and what pins you're talking about as well you're radio model, and if youhave a cargo cam, BuCam, etc

For most 13-18 trucks...

31,32,33 - BuCam

24,25,26 - Cargo Cam

21,22,23 - 3rd unused VES input

** Some Harmon RAx radio years (13-15) on sw version may have the Cargo cam in the first input with BuCam on rearview mirror

** Some 18+ panasonic radios w/newer sw versions may have cargo and unused VES input swapped.

1500 or 2500?
Some 2500's may have partial wiring for cargo cam... Do you have a BuCam?

It's a 1500 big horn and I have a back up cam. I'm adding Dtv option so I can use my Amazon Firestick to watch TV at work on lunch break

And what pins are you trying to use?

24, & 25 should be free on your 17 ram 1500 for the cargo cam video input which is what most use.

The line in Audio (L/R & Rtn) from the 3.5mm jack in the console/JumpSeat will be occupied & you could just slice into it to maintain what's in the oem usb hub.

Ok . It looks like they are showing you the front view of the connector... Compare it to the images I posted earlier... And don't cut anything if you can avoid it.

Pins 8,9,10 are the cd changer audio input.

What pins do you think are occupied that you need?

Here's the rest/most of the actual 17 ram radio signals ... 'Front View' shown.

Z automotive makes a kit to do the exact same thing but it's expensive to get shipped to the great white north and it's the same converter and cheap rcas cut apart with pins attached. I had cables just collecting dust so I have them cut and pins attached. Converter will be here in the morning and I'm out $20. Just need to find the proper location without having to talk to z automotive for help

Here is what @Mpgrimm2 is referring to. He made a simple harness to add to my factory radio for me. It should do what you are trying to do...

Well I got it to work and I can screen mirror to it but as soon as I put it in drive I lose it. Which wire is the shifter wire?View attachment 243490

Sent from my SM-G981W using Tapatalk
There isn't a shifter wire. The cutoff is by design to stop video in motion which is illegal in many/most States for from seat occupants.

If you wish to allow video in motion it requires the use of third party hardware devices. Your firmware is out of date. I believe the latest version for you is 18.45.1.
