Adding DRL'S to ram

Besides the drl -1 module what other options can you use to ge the drls to work. I see ebay amd amazon sell but not sure what's the difference between the two.

I have a 2015 ram sport and my dealer was able to just turn them on using their computer, took them 10 minutes. I think the later manufactured 2015s and 2016s took this away but might be worth a try stopping by the dealer.

The dealer I took it to couldn't figure it out even after I gave them the paper from Chrysler stating what sales code and prompts to use.

DRL's are already built in on later models cause many are sold to Canada and its required there, they are just not activated on us models, just need a dealer that knows what hes doing.

Nope. 2015 + 2016 salescode not working. A "normal" dealer can't edit the DRL . But someone have a special BCM. And they can do it. And much more: i have now a Option in the uconnect to turn on or off

Can you explain more on what you did to get it on your uconnect and do you have the 5.0 or 8.4?

Well, you must find a dealer/ garage which is able to programm the DRL. The uconnect switcher takes two minutes. The guy ask me if i want this and i said of course if possible.

A "normal " garage can look into the BCM, programm some things, but not much. I'm from europe, so i can't help you. I would search dealer which have diablo or something else.

And: not everybody like DRL, but in some countries it is necessery...

Check out the alpha OBD thread. It's an app you download for $49 from the Google play store and we can add pretty much every option available in the BCM that the dealer can't even see. Myself and many others have enabled our DRL's and a ton of other options.

The dealer can do it or buy AlfaOBD or Appcar DiagFCA software. They are 49.00 and with either, you can make many changes to your system.

I dont want the headlights and taillights on all the time. I have switchbacks and want just the white light on all the time. Just turning your parking lights on turns tails on too and they're not as bright

My truck is a 14 but the DRL's have successfully added to the 13 to18 trucks with the tool.

Just don’t be one of the idiots I see all the time driving around at night with DRL’s on and no taillights.
