I want to add heated seats to the front and rear of my ‘21 2500 Bighorn. I’m getting leather seats added so I was going to slap the heated pads in during that install.

I have these part numbers so far

Seat Cushion Heated Pad - Mopar (68362100AB)
Seat Back Heated Pad - Mopar (68362101AC)
Seat Back Heated Pad - Mopar (68362103AC) -Backseat
Seat Cushion Heated Pad - Mopar (68362102AC)
Heated Seat Module - Mopar (68388904AC)

I know I will need the switches for the rear seats but I’ll get to that. What I’m wondering is do I need a module for the rear seat as well? And does it plug into the unused harnesses under the rear seats? I don’t know if this is a feasible option or not. Any input is appreciated.

I am seeing a separate Rear module 68388906AC. In regards to the wiring the only way to tell if the body harnesses differ is for me to compare your VIN and part # with another VIN / Part # with the same options + heated rear seats. This can be tough to find though as options are usually grouped together and can skew the numbers. Let me know if you come across a truck similar to your with htd rear seats and we will go from there.

I will try to find one with that option. I also found this, 52112462AD, which is the wiring for the center console. However from looking at Mopars website it looks to be the only wiring harness not discontinued. I might have to open up my center console to see if there are plugs unused there too. I would like to add the rear inverter outlet and USBs as well in the future while I add the rear heated seat switches.

Based on all the console wiring options I see I highly doubt your existing will work. When we compare the vins we can check this out as well.

This VIN seems to have what I’m looking for. 3C6UR5FL1MG661180

my VIN 3C6UR5DL0MG606982.

I want to add the rear USB ports as well as the heated seat switches. Could that wiring harness I posted above do that?

Here is what I find
Donor VIN harness #68484702AA
Your VIN harness # 52112463AD

No your other mentioned harness does not have htd seats according to our data.

Does 68484702AA show available to be purchased? When I look it up it tells me that it has been discontinued.
I looked up 52112462AD, using this website https://www.factorychryslerparts.com/products/14813306/52112462AD.html

Their description says that it is for heated second row and rear USB but “charge only” meaning it wouldn’t work with the Carplay/Android Audio. It’s also the only non-discontinued one in the list.

Is it possible this is just how the newer ones are being built in regards to charge only rear USB?

Benny, I went today to a dealership and noticed most of the newer trucks only have charge only rear USB not full function ones. Because of this I think that is why most of the wiring harnesses are listed as discontinued. Being that it is discontinued does that mean I will have to find a new route to go? Seems odd they wouldn’t leave at least one in case there were issues down the road with someone’s vehicle and needed it replaced.

if you could help me find a wiring harness that will give me the 3rd CarPlay usable USB and can add the rear heated seat switches I would be very appreciative.

68484702AA is not discontinued, It was never made available yet. Regardless I do not see any harnesses that allow rear seat passengers carplay or android auto capabilities, They are intended for charging only.

Interesting. I think I’ve been able to source the harness I need from a wrecked vehicle.
Can you see what instrument panel wiring my truck was built with?

Thank you. I’ve got the harness I need for the rear USB but doesn’t look like it is just a plug and play addition. I’ve got everything hooked up and the rear USBs do not work. I’ll also have to add the wiring for the inverter as this also included the 115v outlets.

Sorry I was just voicing my frustration as I thought this would be a rather simple addition with the proper wiring from the console. However it appears my instrument panel harness is also missing the needed components so I am back at square one.

I appreciate the information thus far. Hopefully I can get it figured out so I can add what I am missing.

This is not an easy mod. Connectors are not there left unused as many people think, There are probably at least 10 variations of dash harnesses and likewise for the body harness options. Best bet is to find a donor truck if you can.

Its hard to tell. The Yellow connector is airbag/restraints related. On the Heated seat module there are 2 connectors that come from the body C1 and C3 , The others come from the seat wiring. I attached a diagram of the HSM as well as C1 and C3
