I was told today by someone with a late model Chevy that he was able to make an adjustment on his rear suspension so it wasn't squatting any while towing. I plan on getting airbags in the next month or so, but I was kind of wondering what other DIY adjustments can be done as well. My trailer is rated at 860 lbs on the tongue, which is on the high side without some extra suspension help. Any advice is appreciated. I just want a beefier suspension before I take this thing beyond 30 miles from the house. I'm equipped with a 90-00-1000 Equal-i-zer hitch and that makes a major difference with the sway. Is there an adjustment on that particular hitch that might help too?

So what I was seeing from looking under the truck was what looked like 4 point suspension. My max payload capacity is 1630 lbs. I probably need to make a minor adjustment to the hitch height, but I've also determined that I'm going to pull the trigger on the LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate and get a Wireless One 2nd Gen to go with it. If I combine that with Helwig sway bars, I should have a rock solid suspension for towing my TT. Any thoughts on the matter?

The Timber Grove ASAMs might be a little bit better priced than the Loadlifter 5000's. I have the ASAMs and the WirelessOne running together with no issues.

I ran the air fill line through the license plate bolt hole. I ran the WirelessOne air fill line to a quick connect T-fitting supplied with the WirelessOne kit, and spliced it in to the rear fill air line.

I placed the WirelessOne compressor and manifold on the frame below the driver's door. It was easy enough to do. It's a toss up of what I want to do next....CAI or Hellwig...or something else. I need to stop spending money on this for a bit....LOL

Just remember to take the truck/trailer to some scales. You'll most certainly need to adjust hitch ball angle after leveling with the airbags as you'll be reducing the weight distribution.

I settled on a Timbren setup. Having done a lot of reading the past couple of days, they will suit me towing/suspension needs at a quarter of the cost.
