I'm planning on installing the BDS 6/3 lift kit w/ the 2.5 coilover set at ~5" of lift.

The BDS website gives a maximum tire size of 37x12.5r17 on a 17x9 wheel w/ backspacing of 4.5.

The wheels I have my eye on are a 17x8.5 0 offset with a backspacing of 4.75 and I planned on running a 35x12.5r17 or 315/70r17 tire. I'm not entirely sure how my setup translates to the provided example. Based on my research, my setup would be ~5.6mm closer to the inboard suspension than the BDS example, and I'm concerned about inboard suspension clearance.

Most of the 35x12.5 or 315/70 tires I've looked at max out at an inflated height of 34.8in or less. The inflated width for the 35s have been 12.5in and for the 315/70s have been 12.7in. Based on that I think I'd elminate the 315/70s due to the increased width/decreased clearance?

One thing to note, most of these measurements were based on the tire mounted on a 9in or even 10in rim. Mounting on a 8.5in rim may pull the tire in a bit more?

There is one example on Custom Offsets of a 2017 Ram (stock body) running the BDS 6" lift with a 17x8.5 0 offset 4.75 backspace wheel with a Toyo Open Country 37x13x5r17 tire and states no spacers used and no rubbing/scrubbing/trimming. But that's the only example I've found thus far.

Any input is welcomed!

You can fit a 37"x12.5 with 6" lift and coilovers on a 20x12 wheel no problem and up to a -44 offset like im running... you will have to trim but anything smaller you will have no problem

Thanks for the follow-up. I just wasn't 100% sure based on my offset being 0. Would be a kick in the nuts, to get everything installed and...oof...rub on inboard suspension. Trimming fender plastic I have no issue with.

I wouldn't run 0 offset though... maybe -19 or -24

Haha that's what my point was, that the wheels I like, unfortunately are that high of an offset.

That's the one example I've been able to find.

My Zone 6" lift with 37x12.5r17
Rims are 17x8.5 with 0 offset. Should fit fine with 4.5 back space I believe mine are 4.75bs. If wanting to run factory rims in any size need spacers due to the positive offset. Proper offset and backspace is a must to clear.

I did find this post of a member running the same wheels specs with a 37x12.5 tire on a zone 6/5 lift.

I think I'm comfortable with going forward with my bds 6/3 and 17x8.5 et0 35x12.5r17 setup.
