Question for anyone who has gone with a sub enclosure like this one, where did you mount your amplifier? Looking for ideas from the brain trust here. I am thinking maybe mounting it in the middle section but am a bit worried about airflow around the amp when the seats are down. This is going into a 2015 Crew Cab 2500. Thanks in advance!

Putting the amp in the middle of the box is a bad idea. The seat will sit on top of the amp and it will get hot.

I like to put them on the back wall, behind the seat near the bottom. I also have a couple of trucks that have amps underneath each front seat and one under the center jumpseat.

The question should be.... what amp are you going to use? There are a ton of new smaller amps out that put out some good power. So once that is known, then most of use could give you a few ideas. I know for my truck, under the pass front seat doesn't work since I have the jack there and my amp is on a med size of a foot print.

I have one amp under my driver seat and the other two on the rear wall behind the seats. No issues getting hot.

Could try doing the back seat mod so the backs fold down then mount your amp back there.
Yea, I did that by flipping the loops behind the seat over
Amp mounted to back wall on right,. 13" sub under right seat

I mounted the amp for my subs under the passenger seat and the amp for the components under the drivers seat. They fit perfectly and I can still move the seat back and forth and have all movement with no issues at all.

I have 2 X90M Alpine mono amps , one for each Alpine type R 12" sub. I also have 2 AudioControl D-6-1200 amps that run the rest of the 11 ( up from 9) in Active form. I think I may mount the sub amps under the pass and driver seat (thats the x90m alpine amps) and mount the ACD 6-1200s behind the seats due that they should fold down due to the fox acoustics seat risers for my fox box. I could mount the sub amps in those under floor bins but there would be no air movement and amps may sweat with hot / cold outside temp variations. Any suggestions please fire away....
