Aftermarket stereo

Looking for a good aftermarket stereo. I'm trying to educate myself on what to buy. Smart phone interface is the most important thing. CD player not necessary. Thanks for your help

Kenwood DMX7706S with maestro idata link to retain factory features. Pretty happy with it. Android auto, monitoring gauges and ability to clear and lookup error codes right from the screen of the radio. The only thing I really lost was the usage of the media hub because maestro does not make an adapter for that. But that is a 2018 issue

With the maestro link thing you get gauge data if your tach is broke. Kind of neat. I get a pioneer dmh-2550nex. I like it.

A lot of reported problems with Android connections with that particular model.
