Went to haul a moderately heavy load with the truck today, went to air up the Timber Groves and nothing. Checked in-line fuses, fuse panel and the connections from the manifold and compressor. I thought I heard a click when I tired to use the remote but the compressor did nothing.

It worked yesterday....I guess it just crapped out. I've had it in since August and haven't had an issue with it.

Well, you could test for power at the compressor. Sometimes even if fuses look good I have found them to be bad or not making a connection at the point of contact due to corrosion or oxidation so light that you can't even see it.

Its possible. I had 4 Viair compressors in a car with air ride and would regularly overheat them to the point the thermal protection would shut them down until they cooled off, never cooked one though.

i burnt out a aftermarket compressor system because road debris clogged the intake filter and it just crapped out. new compressor and an intake relocation and it lasted for a couple years before i sold the truck

It's weird, as cold as it has been around here a few times, it didn't have an issue pumping air into the bags on first start up to 7psi. Today was moderately warm (40 degrees or so). Shouldn't have been a problem.

cold temps and air compressors dont really get along. speaking from experiance on the LMTVs from the army in the PNW (wheres its always wet and temps hang around 40-60F) the moisture in the air left in the tanks would freeze.

i cant comment to the science of freezing in the tank with outside ambient at 40f but it happened, alot

I usually would air them up & back down to check everything now and then.

No tank with the Air Lift .....just a compressor and manifold only

No worries, didn't know if you knew how the Air Lift system worked.

Well, going to go for a warranty claim on the compressor. See what happens. Right now it looks like I have to replace the Schrader valve core for the air fill line. I've filled it several times using my pancake compressor so there is air in the springs when I drive. Filled it today and could hear the air leaking out of the valve itself. Tried to check it to see I could get it to seal to no avail. Trip to the auto parts store tomorrow.

Called Air Lift and told them what was going on, no issues with sending a replacement compressor no issues at all. Changed the air valve and it doesn't seem to stop the air springs from leaking down. Going to check all the fittings next.

Well.....got the new compressor installed no problem. When I turned the key to on, I heard the compressor kick on a bit. Cool, no issue then. Used the remote fob to air them up and test them...nothing. Tried a lower setting to see if the air would be released. Nothing.

Checked everything. Tight ground, everything hooked properly. Still nothing. Called Air Lift, they told me to check my grounds...

I can hear the relay tick on and can hear the manifold/ pressure switch. It is getting power. It's just not making the compressor turn on.

Going to call them again and see if I have to have the manifold/pressure switch replaced.

It's ******* me off.

Replaced the compressor and manifold under warranty and got everything working again. All good. Good to deal with Air Lift Company. Thank you.
