Not likely. You need to have the modules in your taillights as well as the correct mirrors. you can order a kit with all that stuff, but it isn't cheap.

Do you know what years that could be done on? Our new Jeep has it and really wish my 2015 did as well. Last time I asked I was told here to "learn how to drive and use the mirrors".

I don't think you can do it to any Ram older than 2019. This thread I started has a ton of good info. It actually already shows at the bottom of this page. The search function on here works great.

I added it to my 4th Gen. This is a great thread on how to do it. Roman made my harness and is a big help if you have any questions.

This right here.
I added BSM to my 2018 2500 with this post, works great.
With the BSM mirrors glass or 5th gen mirrors (re-pinned to 4th gen pin out) it's "factory"

It can be added to trucks going back as far as 2014 (potentially even 2013). 2500/3500 are just a few setting changes to enable the BSM after installing the 5th gen HD tail lights and connecting the BSMs to power and CAN bus. 1500s require a conversion module to make the blind spot modules work in a non-hd truck. For reference, I have it working along with trailer blind spot in my 2015 1500.

LEDs need to be connected to the door modules to work. If you don't want LEDs, you can just connect resistors to make the door modules think there is an LED present otherwise it will throw a fault for the BSM system.

Great info Roman, thanks. Did you just buy the parts from Mopar and make up the wiring looms or did you find a kit somewhere?

The taillights came from Mopar (well eBay) and I made the conversion harness & module myself.

Roman, my 3500 limited is a late model 2018. My Alfaobd factor setting is “present“ for Active Blind Spot. Any chance by adding HD blind spot taillights it will work?
thanks for any input
