I didn't realize a Fire tablet would work. I have one that we never use (tablets aren't our thing). Is it easy to use/download? Honestly, I'm at a loss on the tablets. I only bought it because I was buying my mom one and they were such a good deal on Prime day a year ago, that I bought 2. I think I've turned it on, maybe, twice.

Edit** I figured it out on my fire tablet. Now to pull the trigger on it.
Nice you figured it out?

I have both. As it was mentioned jscan was at one time made for Jeeps.

Personally I like jscan over alphaODB. At one point AlphaODB had more options/features but that isn't the case anymore.

As Jimmy07 mentioned in another post jscan is only one currently working for 6 pin 5th Gen Key Fob And is using newer version of CDA, vs AlphaODB is using older version.

I figured out how to get the Google store on my Fire tablet, yes. I was able to find the Alphaobd app. I just haven't purchased it yet.

I'm glad I could do it, though. Now, I can find a app to use for my other project (LS swap '71 C10) that I'm working on. I had the idea to use a tablet for my gauges (speed, tach, etc).

Yeah I’ve sued it for tire size…light drop out and some other things.

I think I paid $50 for alfaobd a couple years ago. Was definitely less than having the dealer program one option. I've used it on my truck, the wife's challenger, my sisters truck, my neices truck and my brothers Cherokee.

Depending on the year you may have to buy an obd cable as well (for both jscan and alfa).
@metalchewy, what OBD2 Interface are you using with AlfaOBD? I have downloaded AlfaOBD for $50 but it doesn't seem to work with any of the 4 interface (Elm 327, Micro Mechanic, OBD Advanced, Mucar BT200) that I have. I just don't want to buy the OBDLink MX+ if I could get the interfaces that I have to work.

I'm not who you were asking, but I just bought this one to use. It's listed on the AlfaOBD page as compatible. I haven't used it, yet. So, I can't speak to as how well it works, but I'll probably get the app this weekend and try it out.
