I am trying to add an integrated brake controller to my 2018 Ram with alfaobd for windows on a hp laptop and MX+ with a security bypass cable installed. I can access the body control module but when I try to enable the integrated brake controller I get the following error: Failed. Service not supported in Active Diagnostic Session. I get the same error on all trailer functions such as name, type, etc. Could someone please help.

Make sure the body module you connect to is the 2016-2017 powernet.

I would post this in the Alfa thread. Either you have to enable other settings to get your brake controller to work or you need additional modules not currently installed on the truck.

@cleland If you haven't already, try disconnecting from Alfa, reboot your PC, unplug the adapter and reinitialize everything. Sounds similar to older issues with previous versions and Android and that worked for some.

Has anyone been able to successfully add the brake controller using the windows app?
I understand it works on the android software but I have been unable to get it to recognize my brake controller. I can clear codes, etc.
