Any AlfaOBD pros on here?

I'm trying to reprogram milage on my new 7" cluster I got it to sort of work last night but the wrong milage went on. Second attempt a Continental logo flashed up and then it failed now it just fails everytime, I tried to do Vin 1st this morning like some have suggested but I get the same failure message.

Any ideas what went wrong or what I'm missing [emoji2369]270a9e93dd66d55628217e0dae7ce7c3.jpg

What OBD interface are you using? I’d keep trying, it may take several attempts (don’t worry about the VIN write, it’s not necessary).

I figured it out I think I was supposed to be using the cable extension they sent, I'm using an MX plus

Cable extension? Where can I get one? That might solve my problem, I can't change the mileage, was only able to disable seat belt chimes. I didn't get one with my new Oblink Mx+. I've tried many, many times for weeks using Bluetooth. I have always tried changing mileage with the VIN write attached to 7" premium cluster.

It's called a security bypass harness kit for 2018 and 19 classics get it from Northridge 4x4 if you're in Canada or Morris 4x4 if you're in the states

It’s a 2018 Ram 1500 5.7 Tradesman and I’ve installed a security bypass harness.

Is that tablet the only android device you have?

Try updating the mx+ through the app it comes with

I updated the MX+ app 2 weeks ago, and am using a 2016 Samsung Galaxy Tab A. This is the only android device I own. I'll do a new update on the MX+ tonight and try again. The Alpha almost makes the changes, and then it deactivates blue tooth and I have to start all over. Sometimes (rarely) it will say completed and I let it sleep and nothing. I'm doing this in my driveway using house wifi.

Maybe your wifi connection is too slow, hotspot your phone to the tablet and try that. I've only had luck when using the extension that came with the bypass it just fails when I try without it but I also unhooked the battery for a couple hours before trying again so maybe that helped but since then it's worked flawlessly [emoji2369]

Have you tried making some simple changes? Try global windows down.

It's possible that the mx+ is bad.

I tried the global windows thing, change splash screen, disable seat belt chimes, one at a time and let it sleep. Sometimes, Alpha said completed. The only thing that took was the seat belt disable. Tried Iphone hot spot also (did not work), since weather is warmer, I might open house windows to strengthen home wifi. I think it might be weak connection on bluetooth or wifi or MX+ is defective. Or operator error? I sent Obdlink an email this morning.

Wifi shouldn't be a issue. I don't always have great connection by my garage. Try deleting alfaobd and reinstalling it and removing the paired bluetooth connection with mx+. Thinking about it now I had a similar bluetooth connection on my kindle fire 7. One day I started having issues. Deleted and reinstalled and have been good ever since

I'll delete it and reinstall app, and try it soon. Thanks for your help.

I am having the exact same problem with my 2019 Ram 1500 Classic tradesman. Tried for hours. Entered the VIN, managed to get the lifetime idle and engine hours to take after several failed attempts. Not so lucky with the mileage. I’ll keep trying

Sorry to bring this post back from the dead, but why are you mentioning wifi? Is it needed to use Alfa and MX to change the mileage? Maybe that’s why I’m not being able to because my laptop is not connected to the wifi when I try it since I live in a building with underground parking.

Wifi shouldn't be an issue when making changes. Only needed when uploading your log to Google drive.

Mileage correction has been buggy for a while. Try using the 3.5 inch option. Some have had luck using that
