I'm planning on leveling my 2020 ram with bilstein 5100's. How bad should i expect the alignment to be before getting it aligned? I'm also going to put new rims and tires on. Can i drive it until i get my new rims and tires without an alignment?

Not sure what to expect after leveling, but the shop that did mine includes an alignment. They work with an alignment shop close to them, and will not even let you leave their facility w/o the alignment being done. So, not sure, just my experience having the truck leveled.

I'd get a level done so you don't cause unnecessary wear on your new tires.

I've got a Superlift 4" kit and a couple of years later got the Bilsteins to take the rake out of the front. The shop that did the Bils said to get the alignment because it was thrown off by the Bils.

I'm going to do the leveling myself. Just wondering if i can drive around on it until i get rims and tires, then get an alignment.

You will absolutely need an alignment. Will it drive without it, well yea but its gonna be off for sure and eventually will start eating your tires up. Probably will not drive overly well/straight until an alignment is done either.

As olyelr stated you will 100% need an alignment.

Get the alignment, dont lose sleep over it though. I did the bil shocks on my '13 but seemed fine afterwords, that was 5 years ago. I'm doing the readylift on my '20.

I drove mine about 30 miles after installing Bilsteins before getting an alignment. I didn't see any change in how the truck drove before getting it aligned.

you generally won’t feel a difference but you can wipe out tires pretty quick. It’s not worth the risk to not align good insurance knowing it’s done right

Why wait? I wouldn't think new tires/rims would throw off your alignment?

Took my baby to 4Wheel Parts. They leveled the front end and re-aligned it there. Drives perfectly straight with no issues. ( I was worried about lifting the front end after some of the horror stories I had heard )
