Recently lowered my truck with the IHC 4/6 drop. It has adjustable upper control arms. Did everything as suggested in the instructions, old school method of measuring toe in the driveway got it pretty well set for me to drive. No issues with getting it to the shop for alignment.

Turns out my local shop is lazy and wont touch it because of the modified suspension. They did get it on the rack and at least gave me a print out and its pretty close. Front left camber is a touch off.

I found some random online calculator and did some math which says that .6 degrees should be roughly .31 inches so I'm thinking that if I bring the upper control arm on the driver side in one turn it'll fix the camber issue. Or would it be better to make the adjustment from the lower arm?

Eventually I'll take it to another shop but I want to have it as close as possible before then.

Anyone with some experience got any thoughts?

If you do it on the lower control arms, you can get the caster in spec at the same time.

Thanks. I'll give that a try tomorrow. Gotta make some calls to other shops in the area to find someone that'll align it.

I'd adjust the lower control arm on the left. Your toe is well within spec.

Your caster may never be in the green. You can get it close but green will be a miracle.

You could also adjust the upper arm but using the lower should be easier.

My caster is 6.4 on left and 6.2 on the right. Primarily you want to see how the wheels sit in the fenders.

Haven’t done anything with it yet but it drives pretty good as it is. Turning radius is a little diminished since the drop but that’s about it.

instructions suggest a positive caster of 6 degrees and everything else in spec. I was pretty happy with how close it was. And equally as annoyed at a lazy mechanic.

Hopefully you did cut the little ears off your spindles that hit the lower control arms. That definitely helps the diminished turning radius. 5 minutes or less with a Sawzall will get you back almost to stock.

After cutting mine, I took the time to sand them so they appear like they were never there. Some silver paint and you really cannot tell they were removed

I did not but I will look into that this weekend. Since I made some adjustments its been better. Still need to get it fully dialed in. Don't drive the truck much so it'll be fine until I can fully check it all.
