No, you can make those changes with alfaobd. No need for the switch if you'll never need to turn the lights off like at a drive in movie
@RamDiver I followed your instructions in posts 8/12. I didn’t change the country code bc of the warranty questions, but the other 3 changes were enough. Only signature lights on for DRLs in ‘Auto’ mode on my headlight switch.See post #8 & #12 in this thread for locations in AlfaOBD.

Thank you, everyone, for your help.
When I bought the truck (in the US), they put an extended warranty on it, in case the FCA warranty gets rejected. They said some dealers can use the FCA warranty, some can't. Either way, extended warranty is 5 years, 100K miles. You're most welcome, I'm happy to hear that your tweaks worked to your satisfaction.
How long is your remaining warranty period and what is your plan to transfer it to the US?

@RamDiver you have any experience changing tire size on Alfa? I got to it and entered my new circumference, but it wouldn’t take. Gave me an error that I need to run ABS Initialization through ABS Diagnostics
Hey Jimmy07,You need to change the country code, country of origin, and possibly tunnel detection, I’ll have to check. Can you do a read system ID with alfaobd and post the log here so I can compare something.

I havne't tried yet. I did find a good YouTube video on there. Looks like there is no quick fix, you basically have to go in and reset/fix/clear error codes that pop up as a result of the tire size change. Were you able to successfully run the ABS initialization routine with the prompts in AlfaOBD?
