I didn't. Never had to do that before since it's a ground

Just add it to the ground wire?? That doesn't make sense if it's grounded. It does not have a hood ajar switch on the latch or harness. I pulled the pin that was in c11 and added one and grounded to the instrument panel frame where all the other grounds are located. I now have 2 2015 2500s with the same issue. Lil help here would be greatly appreciated

You can straight up ground the pin 11 wire, but you have to set the usage to 500/500 ohm.
Make sure these are your settings:
CBC Config I/O: Connector A Pin 11: Hood Ajar Switch Input Present- YES
CBC Config I/O Usage: Connector A Pin 11: Hood Ajar Switch Signal Usage- 500/500 ohm

So solder in a 1k resistor in the ground wire then set it to 1k in alfaobd ?

Ok that makes more sense than wiring in a resistor in the ground wire

No. I was referring to what Jimmy07 stated.

If pin 11 is populated, you're in luck..
So far all single cab trucks have been pre-wired and those with the Alpine system along with a few others I haven't been able to find out the rhythm.
If it is populated, all you need to do is put a jumper wire into the hood latch connector that your truck has. All trucks have this regardless of Pin 11 population or not.
Some trucks it's wired into the BCM (pin 11).

So, you’re saying it’s not enough to have the plug for the hood latch? That plug may not be wired all the way back to the BCM? It may just stop at the PDC?

Correct.. all 13+ trucks have the plug but only some (very few in my experience) run to the BCM.
On the 09-12, of it has the plug, it's fully wired

Man, you’re a killjoy...

i was excited to find that connector by the latch the other day when I was messing with the headlights. Guess I’ll still have to look at the BCM connector.

The rest is wired under the fuse box.
I can sell you a pre-made harness if you're in Canada.
Or I will direct you to a guy in Kansas if you're in the United States.
You're looking at about 30 to $40 for a pre-made harness that'll make your life much easier

Need your guy in Kanas contact info. I need a harness or pins from bcm to the under the fuse PDM. Also pin for ground from pdc. Thanks

Hi all
Can anyone tell me what the part number is for the pin that goes in C1 pin 11 of the BCM.
Or the info for the guy in Kanas.
Are they standard 1.5mm connectors?
Thanks
