I recently upgraded to a new Pioneer wt7600nex and everything is great. Used all the maestro stuff to incorporate the factory harnesses, features and antennas, etc...

Unfortunately, I am getting a turn on pop thru the speakers. I tried installing a 15 sec time delay relay on the remote wire ( blue w/ white stripe ) but it didn't solve the problem.

My next thought was maybe the remote from the factory is only a 5v signal. Can anyone confirm this? I've thought maybe wiring some resistors to drop the V from 12v to 5v might be an option but would rather not go through all this if someone knows for sure what the factory remote wire voltage.

As a side note, I've noticed that if I turn the key to run, let the radio boot up, and then crank/start the truck the pop does not occur. Not really sure what that means but it's got to mean something...

Any help would be greatly appreciated-

Gonna give'r a whirl tonight anywhoo - if it burns up the input I guess I'll have an excuse to scrap the whole system and go ol skool on it. :naughty:

FIXED IT!! Time delay relay was set to 14s and after timing it out again turns out the pop was occurring at 15s :chair: go figure!!

Set the time delay to 20s and all is good now!! Thank goodness! That was starting to really irk me.
