AMP Research running boards

I ordered the Amp running boards and they will be here tomorrow they will be installed this Saturday, I looked at the directions and they seem pretty straight forward. The directions say 3-5 hrs, I have read a couple of posts saying 2 1/2 hrs. I just hope the rain holds off!!

Wondering how they attach, up near the rocker area? Or to the frame? Just curious..

There is studs coming off of the rockers and they bolt to that. They seem to be sturdy.
UPDATE:
I installed mine, when the drivers door opens the passenger running board goes down, When I open the passenger door the drivers running board goes down? I followed the directions to a t? Does the motor on the front bracket go to the front or rear of the truck, could they have mislabeled the boxes? I swiped out the motors still doing the same thing!

Motors in front, sounds like you have the harness sides mixed up, the longer harness goes to pass side

Well I didn't look really close, I was instructed to swap the purple wires out, and it worked fine! Old eyes, need new readers!

Im looking at used boards off of 2019 new body and wondering Actually thinking that they will work on my 2021?

It really depends on which connector type you got and the year of your truck. I have a 2017 and went with the NON-OBDII - what a mistake!!! It was almost impossible connecting the wires under the dash! I absolutely recommend the OBDII connector type.
