Another alpine upgrade. Have questions

Hello everybody. New here making my first post. I just got another ram quad new 2012 with the alpine system. Definitely not impressed its ok. I'm looking to change the doors and the dash first. My question is can the stock unit push better quality speakers or am I wasting my time unless I add an amp

Usually, with the stock systems no matter what they are badged, the amps are pretty wimpy. I'd start with an amp for an immediate boost. You'll more than likely keep the stock on in place for a digital signal to the new one.

Check impedance on the speakers you pop out, most over the counter speakers are 4 ohm, and some 2 ohm, and some 8 ohm, but Ive seen OEM 1 ohm, so you need to match.

No i love the truck. Its my fifth started with an 85 ramcharger. Haha what a tank. But i just like the dodges. Theyve had their problems which im sure GM and Ford have had thiers over the years. But i didnt order the truck with the alpine system it just happened to be included in it. It thumps pretty good but you know everybody always wants more
By the way everybody here has some sweet rides. And everyone seems very nice and helpful.
Oh oh and who the hell is JJ everybody talks bout him. It just so happens to be my nick name lol

i put all kickers in mine and was a huge difference like night and day
