I've been reading in here and my oil pressure seems low compared to what everyone else has. I hear the engine ticking more than normal and that got me thinking. I would like to get some input if I can.

Oil pressure is around 27 at warm idle. 35 to 38 when driving. Oil life is at 33% and the level is solidly in the safe zone. I run 5w20 full synthetic.

I've owned the truck a little less than a year. A contractor owned it before me so I don't know how it was treated. It has 120k on the clock.

Could something be wrong? Thanks in advanced for your comments.

Need to run something thicker than 5-20, switch to a quality 5-30 Amsoil, Redline, Quaker State Ultra Durability, Pennzoil Ultra Platinum

I never pay attention to my oil pressure i should see what mine is lol and 5.7s are just a noisy engine. But for sure like said above use syn 5w30 most people switch to that as 20 is to thin in my opinion. Also do not skip or cheap out with oil changes on these you will regret it in the long run if you do.
