This is similiar to the other pcv cap i posted a week or so back, but i think it might be a bit better quality as it uses threaded ports that you can use -6 or -8 AN fittings on,or else use their threaded n i p p l e that uses a slide on hose.Eh?
This thing just a vent to a can?
Mighty Mouse apparently even has a catch can with a built in PCV,but it's not exactly cheap.Maybe if that feller searched our forum for the contents of some of these cans that members have posted , it may change his opinion.
But ,most likely has his mind made up and that’s it.
I think colder climates tend to generate more gunk, as I am in south Florida and do not get a lot to drain, during oil changes. However most I’ve seen from cold climates produce lots of goooo that I would not want back into the manifold.
I swapped to a new 6.4 intake at about 28,000 miles , the original 5.7 intake that I added a catch can to with less than 1,000 miles still was very clean inside.
I will be picking up one of these new pcv replacements now, glad I did not get the one posted from last week. Thanks for the update wild one .

There's even some fancy pics and charts here for our expert Clay to peruse and enlighten himself

They show it on a 6.4 truck intake Brian. I knew nothing about this one till a guy on one of the Ram facebook pages posted a bit of a write up on installing a catch can using this pcv adapter on his 6.4 a day or so ago.Hey - those not made of Chineseum! I might call them up to see if they work with 6.4 Ram. Wish they had something for visual level of contaminants.

The truck 6.4 intake is the only factory composite intake manifold with the pcv at the front of the manifold, the car 6.4 /truck and car 5.7 intakes have the pcv port towards the back of the manifold. You can tell this is a truck 6.4 intake as the pcv is basically inline and slightly ahead of the oil fill tube on the other side of the intake. There's more differances between the truck 6.4 and truck 5.7 intakes, but for this discussion we're only referancing the pcv port /valvecool - i didn't know the diff between the 2 manifolds - i know they are different but not how. anyway, i sent them an email. i plan to do this. i owe you another LaBatts
Thank you,if i ever get to your area we're gonna have to go out for a meal,as i probably owe you one by nowI cleaned up this thread. It started out with good information so I won't lock it down. Keep your posts on topic and stop attacking each other. Consider this an informal warning.

Their catch cans are definitely the high end of the scale.Keep us updated on it if you spring for their complete set-upCool, thanks. They wrote back but I think I'll call them Monday to be sure this will fit and has a valve in it somewhere. I didn't see a drain valve either.
You are looking at the internals of the Gen 6 PCV style catch can from Mighty Mouse. There is mesh in the bottom and then the shiny billet aluminum piece (which also has some mesh and a screen at the top) sits in on top of the mesh in the bottom of the can. There are at least two different styles of the top shiny billet aluminum piece, Cyclone (Race), and Revolution (PCV). Then you can configure the top lid in multiple different ways as well, depending on your application and what you're trying to achieve.
