Well i see that on the ram trucks site the sport is now standard with a V6. I stand corrected. I have a 2016 sport and ordered it at the dealer. I got it because it was standard 5.7 Hemi. I wonder why they changed it for '18?

Probably fuel standards. More 6cyl trucks help the reach cafe standards maybe. That’s just a guess though
