Hello-i have a 2017 Ram 1500 Laramie crew cab---Have 46k on original SRA tires---looking into buying new ones--Do almosrt 100% on road driving---almost never get off road or use 4wd. Been looking at Michelin defender tires--but with a 70,000 mile warranty I may never get there before the rule of thumb tire safe wear out would expire. Any thoughts on whether to bite the bullet and get these or possibly go with a say Dueller or something with a 60k warranty. Was thinking of coopers but all reviews say they are a little noisy---all suggestions appreciated

I put the Defender LTX tires on last summer. Now with 6000 miles I've used them in all weather conditions. Very good tire on dry and wet pavement. Not as good as I expected on snow and ice. Much better than the SRA's but not impressive. I tow a sled trailer in the winter on snowy roads and frozen lakes.
I'll be looking at something else next time but that will be awhile.

We put a set of pirelli scorpions on my wife’s vehicle two years ago. They have been terrific in every situation.
I plan to put them on my Ram as soon as the crummy wrangler oem tires wear out…they’re dangerous. Can’t wait.

I’ve had various Michelin tires in the past and was never really impressed by any version. Generally when they get down to half tread depth, they are as bad as the wranglers.

Yup. Scorpion Verde AS Plus on my wife's SUV as well. Very good tire year around. They also make an AT tire that should be looked at.

Just checked pricing. Seems everything is up from just a few months ago.
