I messed up and left my radiator cap loose.....Ugghhh. How did I do that. WTFO!

Chrysler Material Standard MS.90032. No problem..........
Problem! Not available in any auto parts store. Online, different MS numbers. Ughhh again.

Okay call the dealer, they got it yippeeeeeee. Problem. Not MS.90032. So I asked them what do you put in 2019 Ram 5.7. Not MS.90032 it seems...........Fuughhhhh:boxed:
Stood around the parts department for an hour while they huddled.

Finally a tech came out and said. Number was changed and I should use this #. Did not even bother to take it down. I WANT MS.90032!

Left and called RAM CAressssssssssss. They have no idea, but will research and call me back. At least they got me laughing. Right call me back.

So, I searched the forum and found this from 4 years ago.

"1 Gallon - 68163848AA (concentrate) 68163849AA (50/50); MOPAR® Antifreeze/Coolant 10 Year/150,000 Mile Formula OAT (Organic Additive Technology) or equivalent meeting the requirements of Chrysler Material Standard MS.90032"

Is this still valid? I need a part # to get the dealer to order it or I will find a source on line. Or if anyone has a source I would appreciate it.

Thanks!

The number was updated. Still the same stuff and still compatible with your truck. I just used the new stuff in my truck. As long as it’s the purple mopar coolant you’re fine.

68163848AB is what I used in my 2014 when I needed some about 2 years ago. My dealer had no problem handing me the correct product, no huddling or tech needed. All they asked was if I wanted concentrate or pre mixed. (Then again, the parts dept at my dealer is also the only department with any true skill and knowledge.)

Also, MS.90032 is a standard, not a part number.

Ok does the container of part
68163848AB show that it meets the MS90032 SPECIFICATION?

I saw that part# on line. It showed a different MS #.

The bottom line at this point is that.
I cannot find a container of antifreeze/coolant that specifies MS90032 FOR SALE ANYWHERE.

As per my manual And Ram website.

I appreciate your response. But I am not going to depend on color. When it comes to a problem. Color won't be a defense with warranty.

I want the container to show MS90032 Or a change in writing from Ram.

I have been burned before by car manufacturers.

Thanks again.

In all likelihood you won't find it. MS-90032 was an old designation for 10 Year / 150K mile OAT coolant that was not embittered. For safety reasons, an embittering agent was added and a new designation was given, MS-12106. This agent does not affect the coolant in any way other than making it taste very bitter as opposed to the normal sweet taste. If you absolutely insist on having the non-emittered coolant, you will have to call around to see if any dealers still have any NOS of coolant with the old designation.

Thanks for the info.

Do you happen to know when that change took place??

Here is what I am working against. Maybe to my detriment ughh.

My manual calls for MS.90032
RAMCARE customer service says I should use MS.90032 But they cant tell me where to get it Ughh.
and the Ram Web site says MS.90032

If I could see that info in writing somewhere that I should use MS-12106 I would be happy to.

I know I am being particular. I don't want to fight another warranty issue. Ever again!

If it's mainly the warranty you are worried about, why not just have the dealer add what they use, keep the receipt and mosey on?

That is very logical. And a good idea.

But if they are wrong and I get a screwed up cooling system. Yes maybe they will fix it. Maybe. But I am still stuck with the hassle.

Anyway thanks for the response. I have not looked at that catologue that

sent above.

2019 RaminSC is not being ****. Just common sense wise. This is a true reflection of FCA/RAM ignorance. Cannot find MS90032. I have recently purchased this from 3 sellers on line including MOPAR. Each represented on their website that they were selling and shipping MS 90032. Each came in with MS 12106 on the label. All claim "same thing" All claim that the PN 68163848AA (concentrate) 68163849AA (pre mix) is the correct controlling number. Each agreed as did my service manager that FCA/RAM owner manual statement and website says we must use MS 90032. They claim the warning regarding mixing is not referring to these two material standards numbers. They all claim it should say one of the above part numbers. Ignorant and stupid.
OP would appreciate you posting what documentation you got. Fitz
