Has to be some crappie fishermen on here! Where do you fish? How do you catch them, casting, jigging, spider rigging or what? What kind of boat you got?

Yeah, going in the morning. Lol

I fish slow moving water, submerged tree tops preferably where they congregate.
I like pink or yellow jigs but locate them with spinners.

Crappie fisherman here. I jig for them 98% of the time here at a couple local lakes. Mainly in the coves and along rip rap depending on time of year. Fish from a 97' procraft bass boat with a 120hp. It's in great condition for the age. [IMG][IMG]

I’m a crappy fisherman, that’s why I don’t go much. Lol. All I usually catch is snags or mosquitos more than an anything.

    Oh wait- you said crappie.....

Thanks it's been a great running boat so far. Will do 60mph with just me on a calm day. Have a couple newer graphs and a new 60lbs trolling motor on it. Fishes great.

Oh I fish like crazy in Fall, and spring but it gets way to hot by mid summer you need a boat to fish 30’+ water. I live 10 min from Purtis Creek State Park, same from Cedar Creek Lake, and Lake Athens. About 25 from Canton Lake, 45 from Fork. But still catch more bass in old ranch ponds than anywhere.

I don't know if I am crappie but I have been known to be a low budget hooker.
