Nah, but the microphone should be built into the rearview and the remote start shouldn't have a antenna. Auto high beam should be located underneath where the mirror mounts to the windshield. I'm stumped on this one, but in that location I would assume it's a transmitter of some sort or, as previously mentioned, auto windshield wipers. If you have them, they turn on like normal (Or at least they did in my old Grand Cherokee) and it should say auto somewhere on the wiper switch.

I have the auto mode which turns on the defroster and everything.

The controls that set a specific temp and not the dial with the spectrum. If he has the digital climate control and you do not, that could be the ambient temp sensor.

Yeah my climate control is set to a specific number temperature. Not just red and blue.

My "guess" would be the humidity sensor. I base that on the fact I have the Auto High Beams and Rain Sensing wipers and they're all covered by the box over the mirror stem. I also have the Passive Entry and Remote Start and neither of those have that box.

The remote start was put in by the dealer but after I purchased the truck. It very well could be that.

Id bet money thats it then..my old truck had an antenna there as well as my dads, both aftermarket. My mom has an oem remote start and it was a dealer add on like yours and she also has a box there, just not that one. They probably couldnt put it in the factory location so they put it there like most aftermarket units.
