3.6 L with 3.55 lsd rear diff. Last summer on a long interstate trip I got 27 mpg going 70 mph. Towing a single axle 12 ft long enclosed trailer loaded with 3000 lbs of wood, I got 14 mpg on a long trip in the winter. Normal driving in the winter rural roads, I'm getting 22 mpg.

22.1 mpg driving a 80/20 highway/city mix. I drive pretty easy overall. Cruise at 76 mph.

First post. I bought my, new to me, 2018 Ram 3.6 Big Horn with the 3.55 gears last Tuesday, which is just about 1 week. I am averaging 22 mpg around town, country roads and interstate. I run about 5 miles per hour over the posted speed limits most of the time and have gotten on it a few times just to show to friends how unexpectedly peppy it is for a V6 pulling such a large vehicle.

Super pleased with the V6 in this truck. It's everything I had hoped for so far.

my brother and my best friend both have a ram 1500 with the hemi, i am happy with what i got but they are always laughing at me. 2 weeks back my brother decided to remove a few cedar three, guess what, we used my v6 to pull all the stomp because theirs hemi were spining the wheels too easilly (that what they said). simply put it in 4wd low and pulled them all berrely giving some gas. who's laughing now

About 17.5 MPG right now in winter and a lot of around town driving. Dips as low as 16.5 and as high as 21-22 on summer gas.

I'm getting the exact same. Much better in summer than winter. V6 with 3:55 gearing.

My last trip back and forth from Fort Payne, Alabama to Mobile, Alabama on a business trip, which included around town, back and forth to the plant site, I was able to get the best mileage so far... 23.9 mpg average according to the trip odometer.

I get 18-20. 95% city, heaters in cold, a/c in summer. Once it did read 23 mpg, no heat or a/c. on the highway.

Over 75k miles in 17 I got 26 hwy and 21 city. The best I got was 31 on a 400 mile trip, going no more than 65. I got 16 towing a small uhaul trailer.
BTW, I drive the speed limit.

and this was hand calculated by taking mileage between fill ups and dividing by how many gallons I put in.

I've had both. I got better mileage with the 3:55 by about 2.5 mpg. 3:21 gets about 19 in mostly highway driving.

I drove a rental car ten hours to take delivery at Mark Dodge in LA, the slow-timed my new Classic home up the Natchez Trace and a few State highways. Still on my first tank of gas, and was showing 23.6 when I got home.

Really happy with the 3.6/8-speed combination - seem to be matched well. My former ‘15 2500 5.7/6-speed was miserable as the shift programming was horrid, always two gears away from where it should have been. Not to mention it got about 13-14mpg…
